Starry Night Pine # 4311

135.00

I painted a starry night background with acrylic paint on this pine tree scene.  The pine is made with pieces of box elder, american elm, sugar maple, white mulberry, Chinese chestnut, black cherry, sugar maple, spirea, and yew.  The hill is half of a white spruce round and the frame is black walnut.  With the exception of the pine back, everything is made from salvaged Michigan trees.  The whole thing is sealed with a clear satin finish and the back is key-holed for easy hanging.

Hanging tip.  Although the keyhole is centered, it may want to hang crooked because it is heavier on one side than the other.  But don't worry, it's simple to fix.  Use the enclosed screw and a plastic wall anchor to hang.  The wall anchor allows you to adjust how far the screw sticks out from the wall.  You want to have the screw sticking out from the wall just far enough so that the screw is a tight fit in the keyhole slot.  If you can't get the piece to slide onto the screw, you need to back the screw out a bit.  If you can rattle the piece against the wall, you need to tighten the screw a little.  With a little tinkering you'll have it hung so never need to adjust it.
