Small Landscape #4266

55.00

Two pines on a moonlit hill.  The pines are made from split log slices from apple (foreground) and black locust (background).  The hill is a piece of box elder with the distinctive pink and blue/gray staining unique to the species.  The background is made from slats of red oak, sugar maple, black walnut and southern yellow pine.  Everything but the pine board it's built on is locally salvaged.  The edge is painted coffee brown and everything is sealed with a clear satin finish.  The back is key-holed for easy hanging.

14" x 5.4" x 2.5"; 1.75 pounds

Hanging tip.  Although the keyhole is centered, it may want to hang crooked because it is heavier on one side than the other.  But don't worry, it's simple to fix.  Use the enclosed screw and a plastic wall anchor to hang.  The wall anchor allows you to adjust how far the screw sticks out from the wall.  You want to have the screw sticking out from the wall just far enough so that the screw is a tight fit in the keyhole slot.  If you can't get the piece to slide onto the screw, you need to back the screw out a bit.  If you can rattle the piece against the wall, you need to tighten the screw a little.  With a little tinkering you'll have it hung so never need to adjust it.
