This piece has a pine in the foreground made from cut twig slices, and 3 pines in the distance made from split oak pieces.  The hill in the foreground is a cut fieldstone, the one in the background is a large spruce round.  The moon is from a box elder branch, and the slat background is made from red oak, tart cherry, pine, and sugar maple.  The frame is black walnut.  Everything but the baltic birch back is from salvaged wood and trees collected here in Michigan.

Hanging tip.  Although the keyhole is centered, it may want to hang crooked because it is heavier on one side than the other.  But don't worry, it's simple to fix.  Use the enclosed screw and a plastic wall anchor to hang.  The wall anchor allows you to adjust how far the screw sticks out from the wall.  You want to have the screw sticking out from the wall just far enough so that the screw is a tight fit in the keyhole slot.  If you can't get the piece to slide onto the screw, you need to back the screw out a bit.  If you can rattle the piece against the wall, you need to tighten the screw a little.  With a little tinkering you'll have it hung so never need to adjust it.
